My dad used to have a pet tarantula, you'd think I wouldn't be afraid of them, but I am.

The last time I squished a big wolf spider was when one sneaked into my workplace. It was by the backdoor and I stepped on it. Babies took off everywhere! I totally freaked out and grabbed the nearest bottle of cleanser I could find and sprayed down the floor, the walls and the baseboards. The entire treatment area was a sticky foamy mess... but the spiders were gone.

Since then, I refuse to squish anything, just because of what it might be carrying around on its back.Summerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11495682522662135879noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1686991059820767773.post-6780558311021038302010-03-12T08:40:51.506-08:002010-03-12T08:40:51.506-08:00I must confess that I squished it. -- PL

I remember him bringing home a horned caterpillar, only to find it had escaped from it's "carton" later that day. It wasn't until a few years ago that, for some reason, bugs don't bother me so much anymore. Anyway, the spider you squished is semi rare in New England, at least in the last 10 years. Just kidding, I don't have an answer for you... but you squished it? That must have been messy.
