I was at the polls when they opened at 7am.

Now do I get a cookie?

Or a ninja turtles ooze pudding pie.....god I loved those things when I was 13.

My Views on elections:

why Bother? I personally like Richard Pryor's idea of 'None of the Above'. All politicians are the same and very few manage to change the country for the good.

But I'm happy to say that at least it's not all old white guys above 60 this time around...and even sadder to say that it's taken 200+ years to get to this point...

Peter--> Right on and Amen that!

Neil--> Shame on you! We need to talk. ;op
(My guess is that if Richard Pryor were alive today he'd be saying something quite different.)

I didn't!

I didn't!

*G* I suspect they'd have issues with a Canadian trying to vote, anyway. I did vote in our recent federal & municipal elections, may I have a cookie too?

Actually, I took two first time voters to the polls with me -- my son and his g/f. That was really awesome....

(So do I get three cookies?)

I voted a couple weeks ago via absentee ballot. Mostly due to the fact that I have no idea where the polling places are and standing in line for hours (up to 5 hours for some apperantly) isn't good for my back.

I did too, but you're not gonna like it...:P

Bookgal said...

Nope, kevin, even if you voted totally opposite than I did, I like it because you did it. You care enough about what you think to do it.

And my hubby voted for the first time in his life yesterday, at age 35! WOOOOOT!

voting was easy, they do it out of people's garages here, no lines at all.
