Vampire with roots

Given all the hype around that new movie based on the "Twilight" books, I thought it would be fun to post an old drawing of mine that featured a vampire.

I'm pretty sure that I did this as an illustration for a story in a fanzine in 1984, but I can't recall at the moment which fanzine, or what the story was about (other than that it involved vampires in some way). -- PL

Very Corbenesque! Cool!

Oh, there we go- *that's* a good portrayal of the Tortured Soul Vampire. With Fangs. It looks like she's getting some kind of horrible karmic retribution amid all those roots.
Nice!

Twilight was actually better than I thought it would be (even with a theater full of squirmy young teens) but Stephanie Meyer's vampires are seriously de-fanged.

Sparkly vampires are bad enough. But they *need* at least the fangs!

Ah the Twilight fangirls are out in force at the library recently. They kind of scare me worse than any bloodsucker. LOL
