Here's another one of my efforts at promoting the showing of Bruce Lee movies on the UMass campus back when I was a student -- in this case, "Return of the Dragon" (which is actually "Way of the Dragon", retitled, and coincidentally the first Bruce Lee movie I ever saw).
I'm not sure why I did this color version -- probably just for fun. -- PL

Way of the Dragon is a great Bruce Lee movie to see first (and the first one he made, as you probably know). He's a little bigger than he is in some of his other movies, and the fight with Chuck Norris is choreographed so well.
Peter, have you seen the DVD released in 2001 titled Bruce Lee: A Warrior's Journey? It has a lot of newly assembled footage from Game of Death that follows the original script much more closely than what made it into theaters, along with a number of interviews with well-known martial artists. Highly recommended!
I prefer the version without color, both are amazing. This really shows what a gifted artist you are.
I'm no Bruce Lee fan, but I'm a fan of Peter Laird's art.
wow being a Bruce Lee and Laird fan for a while now.. i have to say you captured that Bruce Lee look perfectly!!! Especially in Black in white. It seems as if he is millaseconds away from snapping some serious damage at someone and its amazing how you drew him well with his eyes. I really really like this. I would love to own that one day! :-)
-->> PETE !! THIS IS YOUR BEST CLASSIC PIECE !!

Off the top of my head, I don't recall any. -- PL

The fight with Chuck Norris is a real classic. I love the bit where a somewhat desperate Bruce Lee pulls out some of Chuck Norris' abundant chest hair.

I'm not sure. It sounds like something I might have seen on TV in the last few years. I'll look it up on amazon.com. -- PL

Haha, yeah. I'm reminded of one of the episodes of Longstreet Bruce appeared in when he tells Mike to bite in a fight if he has to.

I don't recall it airing on television, but in either case I hope you get the chance to see it (again)!
