Downtown Northampton

Yesterday, while out on a bicycle ride in Northampton, I stopped on the newly-installed bicycle bridge across Main Street to take a few photos I could stitch together into a small panorama.

I had to stick the lens of my camera through gaps in the cyclone fencing lining the sides of the bridge to get three clear shots, but I think it turned out nicely. The view is looking west up Main Street. -- PL

That's a very nice shot. I love walking down parts of towns that look like that. Lots of times in between classes, I walk around new parts of Chicago just to explore. For me, they are very inspiring for some reason.

This brought something to mind. In the episode adaptation of "Return of The Justice Force" Casey suggest they go to find Mike's comic in Northampton. Did the animator's use the actual downtown Northampton as reference or just create a fictional depiction of Northampton for the episode?

My recollection is that I supplied them with some photographs of downtown Northampton, and there was an attempt to use them as reference for the version of Northampton which appeared in the show. -- PL

I know where this is! I've eaten at Fitzwilly's, and at the deli across the street and down the road. It brings back memories.

Would you mind if I used this photo and a few others from your blog for my website?

Cathy,

I'm not sure. I would have to know

-- which others

-- how you would want to use them

-- what your website is like

if your answers to the above questions were acceptable to me, I would say go ahead. In that event, I would want a photo credit including a copyright notice.
