Sunrise

I'm seeing more sunrises these days, since I matched my sleep schedule to my wife's. I've also taken over morning pet-feeding duties, something Jeannine used to do all the time and never particularly liked, for good reason. Now, even though the dogs wake her up when they start huffing and walking around the bed when it comes time to feed them, she finds that she can usually fall back to sleep, and sleep in a little later, something she has told me she enjoys.

This photo is from today's sunrise, seen through the trees in our front yard.

I'm not sure if I will be blogging this coming week -- I'm going to try something this evening I haven't done in a long time, and it may take me away from my computer for a while. Hopefully when I return to palblog I will have some interesting photos and stories.

In the meantime, I want to give a tip of the hat to someone who helped me out a lot last week with her kind heart and wise words. Thanks, Karen! -- PL

I find your picture symbolic. The hardships of the TMNT business are behind nad a new chapter has come with your semi-retirement as you've adjusted so well do. To alter a quote of a president, "Its morning again in Northampton!".

We all can use a computer break every now and then. Enjoy the new day.

Hello Mr. Laird,

My name is Eric Mallette, I am writing you from Montreal Quebec Canada.
Like a million other aspiring artists out there, you were a huge inspiration for me and my “wannabe” comic book artists.
My buddies and I were ALWAYS comics, sometimes VS the TMNT, etc.
Anyways, recently I found a HUGE binder full of my friends old comics, his two main heroes.
His Birthday is coming up and I am trying to restore this huge book of drawings and turning it into an actual comic, I know one thrill for him would be to have his heroes draw his characters; this would be his B Day gift, my question is how much would you charge for a simple sketch of his 2 characters on a simple 8x11 piece of paper? MY EMAIL IS misunderstudios@gmail.com

Thanks and Best regards

Eric
