Just chillaxing

Back from the Heroes Con, now on vacation... here I am taking a break near the ocean. I enjoyed the time I spent with Jim and Eric driving down to and back from Charlotte, NC, but it's nice to relax in serene surroundings. -- PL

P.S. About ten minutes ago, this beautiful creature passed across the lawn of the house we're renting. (Just beyond that little dirt road is a pile of stones, then the ocean.) It's amazing how many of these animals you see this near the ocean. -- PL

MA looks like such a beautiful area, I really hope to visit one day...perhaps the Mirage guys could give me a tour?

BTW is there a particular reason you didn't fly to the con, seems like a super long drive, Iknow some people enjoy that though, especially if you drove down on a bike.

Nice place there, looks quiet. I *LIKE* quiet....a lot. Especially after a long day of 78 little rugrats in a rolling twinkie going down the freeway.

That looks like a place I could love to sit and let my mind wander....

Haha!

I liked "M"'s comments.

But it does look beautiful!

I'm jealous!

6 more days until my vacation! Yes!

It's like you color coded yourself to that rocky shore!
Hey Murph - didn't you just get back from a Relaxacation?

Murph, I wish I could take credit for "chillaxing", but I first heard it from my daughter, several years ago. -- PL

And quit blogging, you're supposed to be on vacation!

For some reason I thought Chillaxing came from Ghost Hunters, but I've heard it SOMEWHERE before :)

Since your chillaxing Pete, I forgot to tell you about a site that I found that I think you guys would get a kick out of. It's a fan site dedicated to the first 3 original TMNT films. They even have a section for the deleted scenes. Check it out.

I know I am not the only one that wants a special edition of the first film on DVD. It would be nice. I would love to see all of those deleted scenes put back in the movie. Do you think it will ever happen?

A quick internet search has revealed that chillax has been around since at least 2003.

There was a deer in my back yard once, which is unusual as I live in a pretty urban area, right next to I-5. Still doesn't beat the Peacock I saw last week. That thing was pretty. Didn't get a picture, jumped out of sight just as I turned the camera on...

Anyway, enjoy your break Pete.

My sister's place in Rapid City used to get deer quite a lot-- same in various towns in Utah when I lived there-- always happened just around the beginning of hunting season, and lasted until the end of hunting season. Deer know the law about discharging firearms within city limits.

They read things, you know... >.>

We've never once seen dear near the ocean down the shore.

However, up north, we see them all the time. Along with wild turkeys and the occasional bear, badger, and bunny rabbit :)

That does look so tranquil...
I was out in my veggie garden yesterday when I heard ::crash crash:: through the woods and two young bucks came bounding into the clearing, one stopping not 10 feet from where I was standing (inside my garden fence.) I froze cuz I knew he couldn't "see" me if I didn't move. He just stared for about one minute 'til I made kissy noises at him and then he got a look on his face like omigod!a human! and bounded off. (Of course I can read deer expressions. Can't everyone? ;o))
Happy chillaxation, Peter!

Hey Pete, here's the perfect new gadget for you!

He looks alot happier than the ton of ditch deer we saw on our trip. He's standing up too!

Neil Vitale said...

Heh, the ditch deer are standing up, just in the opposite direction feet facing sky ;) We see deer every few days at our house, and probably more if we where looking out the window 24/7.

hey Pete, except for the Raph Pose, I did all the others mimicking the style of your recent turtle drawings..

It IS tough to come up with new poses for these guys, isn't it?

I didn't think you had on 'off' position on your power switch. You always seem to be on and running at full tilt. At least you've taken a well deserved rest.
