Dragon and mermaid Valentine


This was a drawing I did as a Valentine's Day card for my wife in the early 1980's. -- PL

I've noticed in a few of your older pieces they have that dot matrix pattern in the inking, did you do them on that graphix duo shade board? I've been curious about that and forgot to ask but this piece reminded me.

In this case I used a piece of Chartpak dot pattern film (similar to Zipatone). -- PL

Very cool I miss the old Zipatone look can't lie about that but that stuff seems super hard to get these days.
I think it's sweet you did that for your wife, I love gifts people make for me.

Have you been drawing things besides turtles again lately by any chance?

I'm sort of hoping all this praise to your artistic abilities will make you feel good enough to get back behind the pencil.
It'd be great if every now and then you and Jim would switch it up he could write a bit of volume 4 and you could draw it.
