"Writing robot" notepaper design

As you might know, I like drawing robots, and this is one of my favorites. It's from the late 1970's or early 1980's, and it's a design I created for myself to use as notepaper. (I used to make custom pads of personal notepaper as gifts for family and friends. It was a relatively inexpensive way to make unique presents -- important when you're a starving artist.) -- PL

I know that all too well at the moment. :-)
...I'm in my senior year of art school, things get a little meager at times.

I really like this particular design by the way, I've always thought your robot work was some of the strongest material in early TMNT stuff. Did you ever think of getting in to industrial design prior to TMNT hitting?

Thanks! No, I was never too inclined to get into industrial design, though I have a lot of respect for people who do it. I think that although I have a fascination with machinery and technology, I probably would not have had the patience to deal with the precision drawing required. -- PL

On-topic-- looks like Fugitoid. Very creative and imaginative indeed.

Ummm... very very off-topic. I would ask this of Murphy but he's on vacation...

But will the publication of this book interfere with the upcoming comic that so many have been waiting for?

(You'll have to cut and paste it.. I can't figure out linking)

This is very awesome! Theres something really cool and funny about the robot hands typing, as if leaving the message you write on the paper....kind of a world within a world feel.

Being an art dude rocks because all of your work is ultra valuable to whoever receives it as a gift.
