Sean Wang's new "Runners" Kickstarter project


My friend, talented writer/artist Sean Wang, has a Kickstarter thing going right now to raise money for a new "Runners" project. "Runners" is Sean's great science fiction comic book series which began a few years back, and really impressed me with its wonderful art and story.

Looks like they've more than met their goal - awesome!

As somebody who ran a successful Kickstarter campaign a few years ago, I'm glad things like that and other crowdfunding sites are taking off. When I was a kid and a young adult, there was no way to fund your comics project other than out of your own pocket or begging friends and family for help. Not to mention no way to market it other than the convention circuit and running a costly ad in Previews (if the sole comics distributor chose to carry you).

I was kind of sad to see the Xeric Foundation comics grant go away but I can see why that decision was made... Anyway, cool link!
